The City of West Palm Beach set four dates for Nights in Northwood in 2026: March 27, June 26, September 25 and November 27. The September night has already happened. That leaves one more on the 2026 list, and it falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Thirteen days earlier, on Saturday, November 14, NO SHADE: Arts & Cultural Block Party comes back to Northwood Village for seven hours of live music, art and food.
So Northwood Village's two biggest public nights of the fall land within two weeks of each other in November. The weeks before then have a steady schedule of their own, at the piano bar on North Dixie Highway. If you live in Northwood and want to plan the season, start with those two November dates and work back from there.
The fall calendar, start to finish
Here is every dated item we could confirm for Northwood Village between now and the end of November.
Date | What | Where | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
Fridays and Saturdays, weekly | Copeland Davis Jazz Trio | Café Centro, Legends Room | 6 to 8:30 p.m. |
Fridays, weekly | Ray Chang | Café Centro, Piano Bar | 8 to 11 p.m. |
Saturdays, weekly | Troy McCray | Café Centro, Piano Bar | 8 to 11 p.m. |
Sundays, weekly | Susan Merritt Jazz Trio | Café Centro, Piano Bar | 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. |
Tuesday, Oct. 27 | Rob Russell's Open Mic | Café Centro, Piano Bar | 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. |
Saturday, Nov. 14 | NO SHADE: Arts & Cultural Block Party | Northwood Village | 3 to 10 p.m. |
Friday, Nov. 27 | Nights in Northwood Village with Jam-X The Band | 400 block of Northwood Road | 6 to 9 p.m. |
The table shows how the season splits. Through October and into November, the regular entertainment comes from one venue on a weekly schedule. In the second half of November, the action moves out onto the street. Taking those two parts in order makes the season easier to plan.
October: the season runs through Café Centro
Café Centro is at 2409 N Dixie Hwy, a short drive or walk from the Northwood Road shops. Its entertainment page lists music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week, across two rooms.
Because there are two rooms, the same evening can work for two kinds of plans:
- Earlier, at dinner pace. On Fridays and Saturdays, the Copeland Davis Jazz Trio plays the Legends Room from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
- Later, at the bar. The Piano Bar has Ray Chang on Fridays and Troy McCray on Saturdays, both from 8 to 11 p.m.
- Sunday evenings. The Susan Merritt Jazz Trio plays the Piano Bar from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The one dated event on Café Centro's fall schedule is a weeknight. Rob Russell's Open Mic is set for Tuesday, October 27, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Piano Bar. It's the only listing in this guide that isn't on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The restaurant's own page says the schedule is subject to change, so check before you go, especially for the open mic.
Café Centro also showed up in the City's summer promotion. Through September 30, it offered a $29.99 three-course early-bird dinner in the Legends Room on Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays. That offer has ended. It does show that the Legends Room is the dining room and the Piano Bar is the late-evening room, which matches how the music is scheduled.
November 14: NO SHADE takes over the block
The first big street event of the season is NO SHADE: Arts & Cultural Block Party, put on by FLAVAR Co. It runs Saturday, November 14, from 3 to 10 p.m. in Northwood Village. The Posh VIP listing begins with "No Shade is back!", so this is a return engagement.
The headliners are Sevyn Streeter, Foggieraw and Sounds of Reality. The listing also names more than twenty performers and DJs, including Norah's World, Suun, Kevin Kon, Roe Xander, Miranda Rae and Miguel Morales. Organizers promise DJs, interactive experiences, local vendors, food, games and wellness activities "throughout the block."
The event starts in the afternoon and runs until 10 p.m., which makes it the longest event on the fall calendar. Nights in Northwood lasts three hours. NO SHADE lasts seven. The event page gives no street address beyond "Northwood Village," so check the listing again closer to the date for the exact block and any ticket details.
On a Saturday, the block party ends at 10 p.m., and Troy McCray's Piano Bar set at Café Centro runs until 11. You could do both in one evening.
November 27: the last Nights in Northwood of 2026
Nights in Northwood is the City's free quarterly street event. It is held on a fourth Friday once each quarter. It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Northwood Road, with more than 50 vendors selling art, fashion, handmade goods, vintage finds and local food, plus live music. The November 27 edition is listed for the 400 block of Northwood Road, with Jam-X The Band.
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, so this year the fourth-Friday rule puts the event on the night after the holiday. There's no new rule behind that. It's just how the calendar falls. It means the last Nights in Northwood of 2026 is on a Friday when many people are off work and some are hosting family. A free three-hour street event a few blocks from home is easy to suggest when the turkey is gone and guests want to get out of the house.
Since the event is free and open-air, you don't need to book anything. If you're putting together a full Friday evening, a 6 p.m. start leaves time to walk Northwood Road and then catch a late set. Ray Chang plays Café Centro's Piano Bar from 8 to 11 p.m. on Fridays, so his set overlaps the street event's last hour and runs two hours past it.
For a wider holiday-season list, the downtown West Palm Beach events page covers what's happening south of Northwood.
Between the big nights: the shops on Northwood Road and 25th Street
The street events draw crowds, but the storefronts are open year-round. In June, the City and the West Palm Beach CRA released a list of Northwood Village merchants taking part in a summer promotion. That list is a good guide to who is doing business on the street right now. The summer deals ran through September or earlier and have expired. The businesses are still worth knowing.
Food and drink
- The Catch Seafood & Sushi is at 529 25th St. It serves seafood, sushi and tropical cocktails. As of June, it had a weekday happy hour from 4 to 6:30 p.m. It moved into Northwood Village late last year. A November 2025 Stet News report said it was preparing to reopen there on December 1.
- Café Sweets Bakery ran a "Sweet Tooth Tuesdays" mini-cupcake promotion through July 4.
For the house
- Artworks of Northwood offers picture framing and personalized design help.
- Day by Day Shoppe sells home décor, kitchen goods, jewelry, accessories, and gifts for kids and pets.
- The Painted Ox handles upholstery projects.
- Casa Cristalle is known for fine china and crystal.
Wellness and pets
- Belzeb Wellness lists services such as red-light therapy, hormonal balance and gut health treatment.
- Metamorphosis Skin offers facials that start with a one-on-one skin consultation.
- West Palm Beach Pet Care offers dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight pet sitting and grooming across West Palm Beach.
This list fits the calendar. Framing, upholstery, china and crystal, and gifts are the kinds of shopping that pick up between mid-November and the holidays. All of these shops are on the same streets that fill up on November 14 and November 27. If you have a frame order or reupholstery job to get done before guests arrive, start it in October, not on the night of the street event.
What's changing on the street
Northwood Village is still being built out, and two projects affect how the area will feel by the end of the year.
The Spruce held its grand opening in June. The CRA called it a mixed-use development in Northwood Village that adds workforce housing units in the city's north end. It was built through a partnership among the private sector, the City, the CRA and Palm Beach County. The CRA thanked Affiliated Development, Jeff Burns and Nick Rojo. It is open now, which means more people living within walking distance of Northwood Road this fall than last fall.
The District at Northwood at 2501 Pinewood Ave. signed its first retail tenant in March. ELEV8TION Fitness leased 7,617 square feet. At that time, the project was expected to be finished in the fourth quarter of 2026. We haven't found a later update, and no opening date has been announced for the gym. Treat the fourth-quarter timing as a target for now. It is not a confirmed opening.
If both projects deliver as planned, the end of 2026 will bring new residents at The Spruce and the first retail tenant at The District, landing in the same weeks as the busiest stretch of the street calendar. If you live in Northwood and are thinking about what the new projects on Pinewood Avenue and around Northwood Road could mean for your block, Frater Realty can help you compare the options. Contact Us before November 27, or stop and say hello on the 400 block of Northwood Road that night.
